Gwinnett Daily Post– U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall was recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce this past week for his support of issues the chamber considered high on its priority list.
Chamber representative Pamela Gregory presented the group’s Spirit of Enterprise Award to Woodall during the Gwinnett Chamber’s monthly General Membership meeting on Wednesday. Gregory said congressmen and women were graded on their votes on key issues.
In addition to supporting those issues, Woodall also got high marks for his work on the federal transportation funding bill that was passed at the end of the year.
“The 7th District is a community of folks that get things done,” Woodall said in a statement. “From start-up entrepreneurs to established corporate citizens, we have expertise in just about every field right here at home, and all they need from Washington is a regulatory climate that allows them to do what they do best. Their partnership is the driving force behind our success, and it makes our voice in Congress that much more effective.”
